Tasked with updating a 1910 Edwardian home, JKA took its cues from the owner’s eclectic tastes, which included a yen for vintage furniture and antiques, as well as modern wallpaper and artwork. Mixing old and new elements, the bright living room features a celestial color palette of pale blue, tan, and white.

In the dining room, a custom oak dining table supported by a slender steel base sits atop an antique tribal rug. Colorful modern art shares space in the master suite with wall upholstered in delicately hand-painted fabric.

The bold juxtapositions of modern and traditional pay homage both to the house’s history and the owners’ wide-ranging design sensibility, creating a rich interior filled with delightful surprises.
