This exciting new build on a rugged, multi-acre parcel in New York’s Croton Watershed has been a multi-year collaborative labor of love for a beloved repeat client (see our Easeful Edwardian project) wanting to create a site-sensitive legacy home for themselves and their extended family in their native state.
It was a great honor for JKA to work so closely on a project of this scale, where every detail was considered with such care — from the site, to the sourcing of local materials. This is in no way an ostentatious home, but a deeply considered one, with a holistic vision that reflects the values and refined but adventurous aesthetic of its owners. We cannot wait for the native landscaping to take root and flourish so we can return in the spring to photograph this graceful, art-filled project in all of its finished splendor.
